Powell endorses Obama. No matter how McCain tries to spin it, it’s a crushing blow to his campaign. True, he lost a lot of his stature when he lied to help Bush sell the war, but many swing voters, for whom partisanship is not an issue, still think of him as a true American military hero with significant foreign policy expertise.
